As we continue to grow here at audioadpro, we wanted to take a moment to introduce the brilliant team who keep everything running day to day. From delivering high-performing campaigns to building strong relationships with our agency partners, there’s a huge range of roles – and personalities – that make aap what it is.
So, let’s introduce you to… Lisa Stevenson, Client Services Director, who joined us towards the start of audioadpro’s journey. Since joining the team, Lisa has helped build strong client partner relationships, working closely with agencies and advertisers to deliver intelligent audio campaigns.
We sat down with Lisa to chat about her journey into digital audio, what inspires her most about the industry, and one takeaway from her time at aap so far.
Over to you, Lisa…
How did your journey lead you into digital audio advertising?
My background has always been in media and commercial roles, working closely with clients to understand what they’re trying to achieve and find the right solutions for them. I’ve worked across radio and digital advertising for many years, so moving into digital audio was a natural progression. What attracted me to audioadpro was the ability to combine the client relationships and commercial experience I’d built up in media with the tech, data and targeting behind programmatic audio.
It was also about meeting a real need from clients who increasingly must justify their media investment and demonstrate ROAS. Being able to offer measurable results, attribution, and a consolidated view of audio performance is an important part of that.
What do you think makes digital audio such an exciting channel for advertisers right now?
I think it’s the combination of the emotional power of audio with the precision and accountability of digital advertising. Audio has always been brilliant at creating attention and building a connection with people, but digital audio gives advertisers much more control over who they reach, when they reach them and how they can measure the impact.
For advertisers, combining the reach and engagement of audio with data, targeting, attribution, and measurable results is powerful. And there’s still so much opportunity in understanding how audio works alongside other digital channels, which makes it a really exciting space to be working in.
What’s been your favourite campaign to work on – and why?
I enjoy the more complex campaigns, particularly multi-location and international briefs because you can’t apply the same approach in every location or market. That’s where having genuine audio specialism really matters and where we can add value.
With multi-location campaigns, you need to understand where the audience is within every geo independently and how best to reach them. Internationally, the data and available audiences can differ significantly from the UK, as can the way people consume audio. So, you have to understand those differences and use them to shape the right targeting and recommendation for each market.
What are you listening to at the moment?
I’m always putting playlists together based on my mood or the season, and my taste is eclectic. It can switch from jazz to drum & bass! The last artist I listened to was Black Coffee.
I’m the same with podcasts. My guilty pleasure at the moment is Wednesdays. I love interview-style podcasts like The Diary of a CEO, We Need to Talk, Begin Again and Louis Theroux – anything really with interesting people telling their stories.
What’s one takeaway from your time at audioadpro so far?
Never stop being curious. As a specialist audio platform, we need to stay ahead of what’s happening across the wider digital advertising and AdTech landscape, whether that’s new tech, data, targeting, measurement or changes in how audiences consume media.
Things move so quickly, and that knowledge is what allows us to keep challenging the brief, bring new ideas to clients and make sure we’re always giving the right advice.
